We lost a dear friend of 32 years to ovarian cancer just two days ago. She ended her 2 1/2 year battle with the vicious disease comforted by one of your blankets. She was an artist and craftsman and delighted in your wonderful gift. We shall treasure it. Thank you so very much for making her passing just a bit easier.
Sincerely,
John and Lois Jandik

Dear Ms. Dumond,
A little over a month ago I was a patient at Eastern Maine Medical Center. When I came back from one of my tests there was a beautiful blanket on the foot of my bed. I want you to know that I appreciated it very much and Thank you . It is so pretty.
My apology for being late with my thank you, but firstI miplaced the card, then I moved from my home in Lubec to my son's in Kingfield. I guess I can use my age as an excuse too. I'll be 86 the 21st of July and I have my good days and my bad days. This is a pretty good day so I vowed to get my thank you out today. Maybe tomorrow I'll be in bed.
What a wonderful gesture for your club to make. I hope everyone appreciates their quilt an much as I do mine.
Sincerely yours,
Clara

Dear Bobbie,
Let me offer my sincerest appreciation for your very thoughtful gift of blankets. I am sure the CCOM (CancerCare of Maine) patients are personally gratified to receive such gifts while being treated here at CancerCare of Maine.
At times cancer can be challenging and emotionally distressing. Any type of gift to brighten a patient's day is truly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to care enough and give a gift to CCOM. Your act of gratitude makes a difference.

Bobbie,
Thank-you for the beautiful blanket I am going to take it to Boston with me.
Love always,
Linda
Dear Bobbie,
Thankyou so much for the wonderfully warm and comforting quilt! What a surpprise to receive this in my hospital room during my first week in the hospital. The note that accompanied this gift was like a friend comforting and soothing me. You do such a blessed thing for us, God bless you! My daughter was also touched very much by your kindness. It helped her to know that her Mother has a lot of support and comforting friends to help her through this and for this I thank you too. I continue to use this quilt at home and I will bring it to the hospital with me again for my next round of Chemo. I'll bring it to Boston to the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Womens Cancer Center, to bring good "Maine" Comfort with me!
I do not quilt at this point in my life, but I would like to send a donation to your address to help you buy supplies for other blankets to comfot others and honor them, also.
Thank you again,
Love and God Bless,
Pam
